Your first session

What happens before, during and after

The first session is 60 minutes. It is a conversation, and nothing in it is measured.

  1. 01

    Step 1: Before

You write or call, and we find a time. We send a short intake form through the practice's own portal. It asks about your history and what you hope for, never your weight or height. If you pay without insurance, you receive a written estimate first.

  2. 02

    Step 2: During

Dalila explains how she works, the limits of confidentiality and the possible risks and benefits of therapy. You say what you would like to talk about, as much or as little as you want. No one weighs you or asks you to count anything.

  3. 03

    Step 3: After

At the end you decide together whether to continue. If you do, you set a next time. If you do not, we are glad to share names of colleagues.

No weights, no numbers

What we leave out of the room

Not every office does this. Here is what you can count on, from the first minute.

  • No scale and no weighing

Not in the first session and not later. If your doctor tracks your weight, that stays with your doctor.

  • No numbers in the conversation

No calories, no portions, no goal weight, and no food diary you have to hand in.

  • No pressure to say it all

You can leave out whatever you are not ready to say. We start with what feels possible.
