Questions
Questions we hear most
Do you take my insurance?
We are in network with some commercial plans and out of network with the rest. Ask us which group yours is in before you book. We do not take Medicare or Medicaid. If you pay yourself, we give you an itemized receipt in case your plan reimburses.
What is a superbill, and how do I use it?
It is an itemized monthly receipt with the dates and the kind of session. You send it to your plan, which may reimburse part of out-of-network care. It carries a diagnosis code your insurer can see. Your plan decides whether it pays anything, so ask it before you start.
What is a Good Faith Estimate?
If you pay without insurance, you have the right to receive a written estimate of what your care will cost before you start. We give you one before the first session. If the final bill is $400 or more above the estimate, you can dispute it. The estimate is not a contract.
How much does it cost, and how do fees work?
The fee depends on the length of the session, and we give it to you in writing before you start. The first session is 60 minutes and the rest are 50. A limited number of reduced-fee spots are open; ask how to request one. The page on how fees work explains the rest.
Can I use an HSA or FSA card?
Yes. You can pay by card at the end of each session, including a health savings account or flexible spending account card.
Will my plan pay for a dietitian?
We do not have a dietitian on staff. Many plans cover visits with a registered dietitian only with a medical diagnosis, or limit the number of visits. Ask your plan before you book one. We can share names of registered dietitians in the Concord area.
What happens in the first session?
It lasts 60 minutes. Dalila explains how she works, the limits of confidentiality and the possible risks and benefits of therapy, and she listens. No one weighs you or asks for a number. At the end you decide together whether to continue.
Will anyone weigh me?
No. We do not weigh you, measure you or ask for your weight. If your doctor tracks your weight, that stays between you and your doctor.
How often do we meet, and for how long?
Sessions are 50 minutes. Most people start weekly, and Dalila sets the pace with you. We do not promise a number of sessions.
Are you licensed where I live?
Dalila is licensed in New Hampshire. By video we see people who are in New Hampshire during the session. If you are elsewhere, we cannot see you, and we will help you find someone licensed where you live.
What do I do in a crisis?
Call or text 988, any time. In an emergency, call 911. This site and our messages are not monitored around the clock.
What is confidential, and what are the limits?
What you share stays in the session. The law sets limits: if someone is at serious risk of harming themselves or another person, or if abuse of a child or an older adult is suspected, Dalila may have to tell others. She explains this in writing before you start.
Can you see my teen?
No. Thaw sees adults, 18 and over. If you are looking for a clinician for a teenager, we can help you find one.
What is your cancellation policy?
We ask for 24 hours' notice to change or cancel an appointment. Please tell us if something comes up and we will find another time.
